Purpose of consultation
Have your say on central Fife bus services
We’re urging bus users to have their say on proposed changes to Central Fife subsidised bus services.
Fife Council currently subsidises the following bus services in Central Fife: B1, 4, X4/X4A, 11A, 12A, 13, 13A, 13B, 14,15A, 32, 33B, 37/37A, 43A, 44A, 45, 46/46A, 47, 49. In August 2017 these contracts will end, but we’ve already started the re-tendering process for new contracts.
Earlier this year, we consulted Fifers to help influence the routes eventually put out to tender. With tender bids returned, we’re now seeking your views on the proposed, subsidised bus routes from August 2017.Cllr John Wincott, Executive Spokesperson for Environment and Transportation said: “Continuing to provide regular subsidised bus services for communities when costs are increasing and budgets are decreasing is a real challenge for the Council. We believe the proposed bus services achieve the best possible coverage within the budget we have available but it is important that the users of these services give us their views. “We therefore really want to hear what people think of these proposals before any decisions are made, so please give us your feedback through this consultation.”
Please see the summary outlining the proposed changes in the publications section of this page. A printable version is also available in the publications section if you wish to download it.
