Be a Force for Good!
Children's Hearings Scotland (CHS) are looking to recruit 30 new volunteers in Fife to join our community of Children's Panel members.
The Children’s Panel is the largest legal tribunal in Scotland and the volunteers are vital to Scotland's Children's Hearings System in making decisions to help the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Who we need – In a word, you. There’s no one type of person or background that makes the ideal volunteer – you just need to care. If you think you’ve got what it takes to make a real and positive difference we’d love to hear from you.
If you’d like to find out more about becoming a volunteer Children’s Panel Member why not come along to one of our informal information evenings. These are taking place in Fife House, North Street, Glenrothes, KY7 5LT on Tuesday 4th September and Thursday 13th September 2018.
Both evenings start at 7pm. You can learn about the role itself, as well as the recruitment process and the training provided for new Panel members. You’ll also have the opportunity to chat with existing panel members and ask any questions you have. The evening finishes around 8:30pm.
While it’s not essential to register, if you’d like to come along to one of the evenings please let us know by telephoning 01592 583125 or emailing Childrens.Panel@fife.gov.uk.
Our closing date for applications is 24 September, 2018. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited for an initial interview on either 20th, 23rd or 24th October with a final selection event taking place on 10th November, 2018.
