Think rent! Make rent payments a priority. Your home could be at risk if you don't.

Your rent must be paid every fortnight in advance and please remember it is your responsibility to make sure the rent is paid properly. Your rent helps us to deliver many vital services so it is important we get your payment on time.

Paying your rent is straightforward and there are a number of payment options open to you, including paying:

  • at any Paypoint facility
  • by direct debit
  • by standing order
  • by post
  • online (clicking on this link will take you to a page outside FifeDirect)
We can also help you to claim Housing Benefit if your household budget is limited.

In return, we ask that your rent is paid on time.

If you have fallen behind with your rent, get in touch with us. We can offer free, confidential advice, help with benefits and make arrangements for you to pay back your debt in instalments.

It’s far better to tackle the problem early on with the Council before your arrears become a problem that can affect you and your whole family.

Fife Council has a corporate debt policy which provides information and advice to customers who may be experiencing problems with multiple debts owed to the Council.
