Flexible Working

The subject Flexible Working in Fife Council covers both of the following distinct but interrelated areas:

Firstly, where an employee wishes to request to work flexibly – often referred to as the right to request flexible working. All employees who have at least 26 weeks’ continuous service with the Council can request to work flexibly, for any reason. You can get more information on this in the section ‘Individual request for flexible working’

Secondly, the more strategically enabled move by the Council and its Services to increase and better equip staff to work differently in terms of different Workstyles (i.e. Mobile, Flexible, Flexible in Team Zone and Home working).  See Mobile and Flexible Workstyles.
