Qigong for Beginners

Website:  Unseen Stream

Chi is Vital Energy or Life Force and Qigong provides the means to attain and retain it. When a human being is born they have a powerhouse of energy (chi) which gradually diminishes as they grow older. Over 3,000 years ago, the Chinese developed a range of exercises called Qigong, which were specifically designed to increase 'Chi'. These exercises are designed to promote and support both physical and mental health and wellbeing and through regular practice can:
. increase elasticity of the joints, overall strength and upper body flexibility;
. promote the circulation of blood and other fluids in the body;
. help to relieve repetitive strain injuries and musculoskeletal disorders;
. relieve stress and emotional imbalance.

These exercises are suitable for anyone regardless of age, weight, physical ability and body type and even if the movements are done inaccurately can still provide benefits to the individual.

Learn Qigong in a relaxed and informal environment with Jackie Smith, who has been studying Qigong and Tai Chi for over 30 years.
