Learning for work

Community Use Schools currently offer a number of vocational study opportunities, for example: REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene, Emergency First Aid, NPLQ Pool Lifeguard courses to name but a few!

We are seeking to expand the range of vocational courses on offer and hope to develop more SQA courses such as Higher/Int2 English and Maths, French, Geography, SQA Introduction to Computing and SQA Digital Photography courses.

There also offer more specialist courses such as SIA Door Security and BIIAB Scottish Certificate for Licensed Premises staff.

    Queen Anne High Community Use in Dunfermline, along with Dunfermline High Community Use offers a number of beauty courses including Introduction to Manicure & Pedicure, approved by the Guild of Beauty Therapists.
  • Computing - European Computer Driving License (ECDL)

    Location: Levenmouth Academy Community Use

  • SQA Lip-Reading Skills

    Location: Dunfermline High School Community Use
    Dunfermline High Community Use offers an ILA approved Lip Reading course for complete beginners.
  • First Aid at Work course

    Location: Various Locations
    This course is designed to equip learners with full first aid knowledge so that they can treat casualties at the scene of an incident until the arrival of medically qualified staff.
  • British Sign Language Level 2

  • SQA Higher English

    Location: Madras College Community Use
    Madras High Community Use hopes to schedule an SQA Higher English course this academic year.
  • Paediatric First Aid course

    This 6 hour first aid course teaches basic medical procedures in the event of an emergency involving young infants.
